The PRS Leadership Summit, hosted by Physicians Rehab Solution, gathers around 100 leaders from physical and occupational therapy clinics across the country for a dynamic exchange of ideas, networking, and professional growth.
As the sole creative driving force behind the event, I collaborated closely with the internal event planning team to ensure every interaction with our guests was meaningful and memorable. From the outset, it was evident that the scope of my work would be expansive, encompassing a wide range of deliverables aimed at engaging and celebrating each participant.
My responsibilities spanned the ideation, design, and execution of collateral across multiple mediums, all tailored to enhance the Summit experience.
Below, I detail the key projects I delivered, categorized into Website Design & Development, Amazing Race, Event Materials, Swag, and Awards Night.
Website Design & Development
The Summit website was the go-to resource for all FAQs, both leading up to and during the conference. One of the standout elements of the event was the ‘excursions’—interactive activities that guests could sign up for and enjoy throughout the Summit. These were a hit, largely due to the meticulous logistical planning. We made it a priority to ensure all essential information and guides were readily accessible to every guest.
The website’s key features included rotating daily schedule pages, searchable tables for assignments and excursions, detailed excursion information, keynote resources, and more.
Team Mascots
One of the highlights of the conference was the PRS Amazing Race, where guests were grouped into teams for a series of challenges designed to build camaraderie. As part of the planning, the team leaders were asked to come up with creative team names instead of just colors. I saw an opportunity to elevate this by creating mascots for each team.
The weekend before the Summit, I set aside a few hours to experiment with Midjourney, crafting some outlandish prompts to generate images that I could then vectorize and refine for each mascot. It was a fun and rewarding process, and I managed to print posters and cards on my pro-1000, which we took along to the event.
Amazing Race | Team Challenges
Instructional cards for team games, printed in-house, half-letter size. These were provided as each Amazing Race team approached a new station and served as a reference for the rules and instructions for each game/activity.
General Event Materials
Among the various event materials, the guest nametags were one of the more intricate projects. To encourage new connections, the planning team implemented rotating table assignments. Leveraging the variable data feature in InDesign, I streamlined the process of assigning table numbers, guest names, credentials, states, and group affiliations. By displaying table numbers on both the nametags and the website, we minimized confusion and made table changes seamless.
Swag Bags
Here are some of the items we branded for the ‘swag bags’ handed out at check-in. The collection also included branded sunglasses, pickleball paddles, long sleeve t-shirts, and embroidered quarter zips.
Team Color Long Sleeve T-Shirts
This project highlights the meticulous planning by our team. By coordinating the long sleeve t-shirts with team colors, we unified the look while applying a design that broke from the usual summit branding. I proposed a shirt design that reflected our host location and could be worn beyond the conference—a decision that was met with trust and enthusiasm from the team. The final product exceeded our expectations, and we were thrilled with the outcome.
Awards Dinner
The final night of the 2024 Summit featured a formal awards dinner, where I contributed to the design of the awards, plaques, welcome note, certificates, slide deck, and place cards. Thanks to the planning team’s thoughtful setup, the evening unfolded exactly as we’d envisioned, creating a fitting conclusion to the event.
Challenge Coin
PRS uses challenge coins to mark important milestones and recognize the contributions of its employees and partners. With five or six prior challenge coin designs under my belt, I had gained a better understanding of the fabrication process. The result is a coin that features the Scottsdale landscape—a motif I originally created for our ‘save-the-date’ and shirt artwork, now solidified in this keepsake.
